| Opportunities for Service and Fellowship |
| Altar Guild: One opportunity for service is the Altar Guild. Altar Guild members launder and change altar linens, linens used for Communion and Baptism, cassocks, and surplices. One day a week, the two Altar Guild persons scheduled for that particular month will come to the Church and dust and do whatever is necessary to make the altar ready for the coming Sunday. |
| Men's Club: For our men, we have our official branch of the Lutheran Laymen's League. This group meets monthly, September through May on the 3rd Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. The Men's Club Annual Fish Fry is held in late August. In addition to the regular meetings, the Men's Club is busy throughout the year with work projects for the congregation and its members. |
| Quilting: At St. Paul's, we have a group of women quilters who meet each Tuesday morning to hand-quilt tops that have been made by others to earn money to donate to local and world mission work. |
| Lutheran Adult Fellowship (LAF): LAF is a fellowship group for all adults, married or single. The group meets on a Sunday evening with different individuals or couples hosting the event, either at Church or a different location. The activity changes each months as the hosts change. |
| Christians in Action (CIA): CIA has been nationally recognized for their accomplishments. Encompassing youth from junior and senior high age groups, they meet every other week on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. and at other times for special events. Living out their Christian faith in an active way is always a goal before our youth. |
| Family Bible Study: This Bible study group meets once a month on Thursday evenings. The specific Thursday is flexible depending upon the host family. They meet for supper at 6:30 pm., then have a Bible study on a topic selected by the hosts. |
| Music Opportunities: If you have a musical gift you would like to share with the congregation, our Music Director, Phyllis Jenkins, would be delighted to visit with you. Whether instrumental or vocal, your talents and abilities will be a welcome addition to worship. |
| Thrivent Financial for Lutherans: Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, created by the merger of Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) and the Lutheran Brotherhood (LB), is active in the congregation with fraternal activities to aid the local congregation and the community. Through local branches, Thrivent is able to provide worldwide financial help in times of crisis. |
